Each signed "EC Barnes". In these works, the artist is using the same model in juxtaposing attire with symbols of their respective states of being. In the first, she is depicted in modest attire holding violets (symbol of modesty and faith). In the other, she is depicted in an elegant yellow dress holing a bouquet of roses (symbol of love and elegance). Matching gilded carved wood frames 35" X 18".
Each in excellent condition with no evidence of damage or restoration. Frames show light abrasions and losses and appear to be original.
